So why do we need healthy homes? Lecture - Friday - Sept 28, 2007 Going
beyond green... Green homes are designed and constructed to protect the environment Building
Biology homes are designed and constructed to protect the environment and to go
beyond to protect the occupants So why do we need healthy homes? Come
listen and learn about Building Biology, the history, the myths about how modern
housing is failing, and why there is such urgency for Healthy Homes. Healthy
homes are all about choices - from the site selection, to building, to furnishings,
to appliances, to cleaning products - healthy choices at each step can help improve
the quality of the indoor environment. Throughout the series, we will discuss
temperature, humidity, furniture placement, electromagnetic radiation, dust particulates,
ventilation, and building materials. This series is suitable for new construction,
remodeling, redecorating, and folks who just want a healthier home with the focus
on economical, often easy, steps for improvement.

day of the conference. These classes may be enjoyed independently or as a unit;
however, those seeking certification as a Building Biology Practitioner must attend
