The I Ching

presented by
Roger Green

According to Chinese tradition, the eight trigrams, the building blocks of the I Ching, were revealed to the mythological hero Fu Shi on the back of a turtle in 3,322 B.C.

The pair of Trigrams placed one above the other are called a Hexagram and there are 64 possible combinations of Trigram pairs or Hexagrams

The I Ching, translated as the Book of Changes, is perhaps the oldest writing on philosophy, cosmology, divination and self-transformation in
Chinese civilization.

The I Ching reveals the pattern and pulse of life. It is helpful to think of the I Ching as a language of change and continous movement. Learning this language will strengthen and refine your willness to make changes and will also show you what is going on in your life.

The 64 Hexagrams of the I Ching represent the sum forces acting on the Earth at any one moment. Through a series of calculations, predictions can be made, providing invaluable information from the I Ching for all those searching for the path to follow. When you look at a Hexagram, you are looking at the state of play between you and the universe.

This presentation will give you an overview and introduction to the use of the I Ching in your life.
