Lo P'an

Unfolding the mysteries of the Feng Shui compass

presented by
Roger Green

Take a journey into the deep cosmological patterns of the Lo P'an compass. Used for
thousands of years in China, the compass represents a huge body of knowledge on Chinese philosophy, numerology and astrology.
The ancient (and sometimes secret) techniques to analyse a site with a lo p'an has in the past been a difficult subject for western students of Feng Shui. Roger Green has for many years made extensive research into developing a western system of learning the compass and interpreting its significance. He has created a western language compass that makes this challenging subject more accessible and practical. Participants will receive a workbook that will make the journey comfortable and enjoyable.

The Lo P'an is a very useful tool for feng shui surveys - it enables you to map the unseen influences and balance the clients horoscope to the dwelling. The Lo P'an incorporates the Taoist concept that Heaven (unseen influences) and Earth (manifested influences) should be in harmony for our wellbeing and prosperity. This school, as the name implies, analyses the directional aspects of a given site in terms of the relationship between the Five Elements, Eight Trigrams, Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches and Constellations. It is said to have been developed by Wang Ci (1030-1050) of the Sung Dynasty and was practised in the relatively flat provinces of Fukien and Chekiang.
