Understanding
the importance of Forms in the practice of Feng Shui today
The ancient Chinese
believed that locating and harnessing the vital "dragon" Qi on the surface
of the earth is essential to bring the power of the universe into the environment,
hence to achieve optimal health, good fortune and endless happiness. Form Feng
Shui is the study of powerful natural landforms (dragon qi), where life will be
nourished and fruitful. Form Feng Shui is also a central concept of interior design,
used to govern the layout of a house (selection and placement of furnishings etc.)
according to these universal auspicious laws, which expose nature's harmony inside
a living space.
In this lecture, Mei Jin will address the Four directions,
Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Red Bird, Black Turtle, Mountains, Water, Wind, Ming
Tang, River, Road and other principles to show you how to locate or build harmonious
relationships between a residence and its surrounding forms. This lecture is focused
